This is an archive of pictures from the original KC Triumph club founded in 1961. The club went defunct in 1970.
Most of the pictures below come from the estate of Rick Torres (owner of the light grey TR3 shown in many pictures). Rick was the rally master for the KC TR club for a period and appears to have been a member for the majority of that club’s existence. Rick owned a foreign car repair shop and later was a founding board member for the current Kansas City Triumphs Sports Car Club in 1978. Rick passed away at age 93 in 2025.
There are pictures at the end of the gallery of gymkhana trophies, badges and racing photos from the collection of Gene Strautman. Gene was a board member of the KC TR club and served as Vice President from 1963-1964. Gene participated in many racing events in the 1960s and 1970s. He often raced a red Triumph TR4 in local and national events. Gene passed away at 81 in 2021.
